Mr. Fisher manages the company's overall operations and is responsible for business development and long-term planning. He has 20 years of professional experience in the GIS industry. Past experience includes positions as Manager of Computer Mapping for the New York City Planning Department, and Director of Data Products for MapInfo Corporation. He is actively involved in many GIS initiatives in New York State and has served on the steering committee for the annual NYS GIS Conference, chaired the NYS GIS Coordination Program’s Private Sector Advisory Group, and participated in many ad hoc work groups and committees. He has also taught GIS classes at Union College and the State University of New York at Albany. |

Mr. Spraker leads the application development division of the company and coordinates with Mr. Fisher on business development opportunities. He has over 20 years of professional experience in the GIS industry, and is recognized as one of the nation's leading experts in the development of web-based GIS applications using ESRI technology. Prior to joining the firm, he held the position of Director of Geographic Information Systems for the NYS Parks Management and Research Institute. Mr. Spraker has served on many advisory groups and conference steering committees. He has also been an adjunct faculty member at the State University of New York at Albany. |

fountain forestry is pleased to announce the purchase of Applied GIS Inc. Recognized as one of the leading providers of Geographic Information System consulting and application services in north east USA, AGIS has annual revenues of $1.2 million. The new business will trade as fountains spatial and will offer GIS and related database services to forestry and other landowners, utilities and public corporations in both the UK and USA.
fountains spatial will be led by Austin Fisher who will report directly to the president of fountain forestry, Bruce Jacobs. The business will be based in Schenectady, New York but will interface extensively with fountains other offices in both the UK and USA.
fountain forestry, established in 1980, provides full forestry services throughout eastern USA, and specializes in hardwood and natural stand management, investment, appraisal, and forest real estate. fountain forestry is committed to responsible and sustainable forest practices, and is a certified Resource Manager under the standards of The Forest Stewardship Council. fountain forestry, Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of fountains plc the environmental service company quoted on the Alternative Investment Market of the London Stock Exchange.

and query forestry properties. This application allows users to easily
navigate through maps showing selected properties and interactive display
overlays such as topography, aerial photography, access roads, and timber
stand types. For many users, fountains Map is their first exposure
to a custom GIS application. As such, the system was designed for users with
little to no GIS experience.
