fountains spatial has developed web-based mapping applications for many town and county governments. These applications are based are ArcIMS technology from ESRI and support a set of standard features for map display and navigation, along with specialized functions to query and analyze tax parcel data. A series of GIS data layers such as tax parcels, road centerlines, digital ortho-imagery, wetlands, municipal boundaries, and zoning are typically included with each application.

SIMS is a web-based GIS with query, thematic mapping, and annotation tools. It contains over 95 data layers grouped into logical categories: emergency management, infrastructure, natural resources, etc. This application is part of a unique collaboration of county, municipal, and economic development agencies. All of the partners benefit from the easy access to mapping data and tools, with the net result being greater cooperation among the partners on development, zoning, and community preservation projects. SIMS was created using ArcIMS, and is hosted by fountains spatial.

An integrated information system was developed for the New Jersey Pinelands Commission. The technical solution is based on .NET web services, an Oracle database, and ESRI's SDE and ArcIMS technologies. The system has five separate components, or web-based applications, that allow the Commission and its partners to track and analyze planning projects using map-based tools.

A powerful and robust mapping and reporting system developed for the New York State Department of Public Service. During an outage event, EORS is used to process data submitted by utility
companies and generate a range of thematic maps
illustrating the impact of the outage (geographic extent, affected population, estimated recovery time, etc.). Output from this system is critical to decision makers, and is used by the NYS Governor's Office and the NYS Emergency Management Office.

fountains Map is a web-based mapping application used to view and query forestry properties. This application allows users to easily navigate through maps showing selected properties and interactive display overlays such as topography, aerial photography, access roads, and timber stand types. For many users, fountains Map is their first exposure to a custom GIS application. As such, the system was designed for users with little to no GIS experience.

fountains spatial was contracted to develop, operate, and host the GIS Help Desk for the New York State Office of Cyber Security & Critical Infrastructure Coordination. This is the most extensive GIS Help Desk of its kind offered in the United States. Supported products include ArcView, ArcGIS, ArcIMS, MapInfo Professional, and MapXtreme. The GIS Help Desk is entirely web-based and is accessed through the NYS GIS Clearinghouse. The system consists of a searchable Knowledge Base as well as the ability to submit questions and problems via email. Timely responses are then provided by email, including illustrations whenever appropriate. The Knowledge Base is continually updated to include new material.
In addition to developing the GIS Help Desk, fountains spatial also hosts this application and provides technical staff to operate the system.
